It is with great sorrow that we inform our members of the sudden passing of our great mate Adrian “Mozza” Morrisby.

Mozza helped to establish the club from day one. He was the heart beat of the club, irreplaceable and will be missed every day. He was always the first person to help anyone in need. Every time we going fishing remember this legend.

We love you mate and we hope that your lines are tight and your glass is full!

​We have just completed a name change from ‘Game Fish Tasmania Sports Fishing Club Inc’ to Sports Fishing Club of Tasmania Inc, to better suit our members and vision.

A Message From The President

Sports Fishing Club of Tasmania Inc is a club of avid salt and fresh water anglers dedicated to family and junior participation state-wide. We are dedicated to introducing, encouraging and instructing new fishers to the sport of game fishing. We enjoy our sport to the fullest and understand that a strong conservation ethic is vital to passing along a healthy sport fishing resource to the next generation, and in turn strongly encourage and practice catch and release.

We are focused on encouraging our members to protect and respect the environment and resources that are blessed with in Tasmania. We strongly believe in the rights of fishermen/women and work hard with local authorities and commissions to ensure a sustainable future for recreational fishers.
